Garth Chamberlain

Garth was born and grew up in the central wheat belt of WA so he learnt about country lifestyle from an early age. He helped his father on the farm and learnt the importance of caring for the land and animals and achieving results through hard work. He loved the outdoors and the freedom of growing up in the country. Garth grew up with indigenous friends and learnt about their culture and customs from sharing experiences with them.

With a mechanics background, specializing in 4WD suspension, you can be assured that you are in safe hands on your tour through the rough and remote terrain. While helping in family catering businesses and a café in Shark Bay, as well as in management positions in Perth, Garth has learnt the importance of customer service and great work ethics.

Since coming to Shark Bay in 2010 Garth has decided this is his ‘home’. He enjoys a great lifestyle where he can share his passion for the land, amazing scenery and his love of wildlife while educating others about enjoying and preserving our environment. Garth worked for Parks and Wildlife Service for 4 years as a ranger at Monkey Mia Reserve, conducting interpretive talks on the local dolphin population and the other wildlife in the conservation park. This set him in good stead to engage people about the environment and the wildlife that shares the same home.

You’ll always find him looking for a little critter to show you in the park or
telling you about the local marine life and what they’re up to in the clear waters of Shark Bay.
